Pichulik has just released their Autumn Winter 2014 collection and it looks magnificent. The collection was inspired by the photography of Helmut Newton, who took intimate portraits of powerful women in their own personal space. The idea is all about close up encounters and this collection can definitely give you the confidence to do so. The jewel tones and wooden parts, suede and agate stone, tassels and bold colours, the collection reflects the glamour of 70s disco and the psychedelic soul.
I was lucky enough to attend this year’s Design Indaba in Cape Town over the past week. It was my very first time and I was lucky to attend the conferences. It was a week of inspiration with creatives from around the world emerging in one place to inspire one another and the people around them. The actual expo was exciting, especially the emerging creatives section and fashion council section. I went around trying not to spend all my money so instead I took photos of some of the designers and attendants that I thought looked the part.
Over the last weekend I worked at the Neighbourgoods market in Braamfontein and thought I would wear some of the clothes I was selling to create a look that would help with sales, it certainly did! Have you heard of I Love Leroy? A designer from Cape Town ! Here is a dress from her new range.
The J&B Met happened over the weekend at the Kenilworth racetrack in Cape Town. It either brought out the best dressed or the extremely worst dressed. Hence the eish. Take a look and let me know what you think!
